Scott Upper, PADI Instructor #195273

The "other sport of diving"

Scott Upper has been in and out of the water his entire life. As a springboard and platform diver, his 12-year career highlights included a full scholarship to UCLA, a spot on the U.S. National Team, and two national commercials. After the 1992 Olympic Trials, Scott took his last competitive dive and stayed under the water, trading a life of aerial acrobatics for a SCUBA tank. He became PADI certified in San Pedro, California where he embarked on a ten year, gravity-free, adventure.

Since becoming an Open Water Instructor in 2005, Scott has worked on the Kona Aggressor (Big Island of Hawaii); the Tahiti Aggressor (Tuamotu Atolls); the Crown Legacy Motor Yacht (Bahamas/Caribbean); Ft. Lauderdale (Wreck specialist); the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary (Monterey, California); and Incredible Adventure's Great White Cage Diving Expeditions (the Farallone Islands).

As a marine technician, cartographer, and underwater videographer, he has contributed to several cutting edge projects, including:

First Mate, Crown Legacy, 2006
